Hi I'm Andy
As a Research Scientist and Tech Lead at the Robotics & AI Institute (RAI) in Cambridge, MA, I direct the Physical Systems subteam focused on manipulation. Building on my PhD research in Compliant Robot Manipulation from the Yale GRAB Lab, my current work is dedicated to engineering some of the highest-performing robotic systems in the world.
During this journey, I spent some time with IAS @ TU Darmstadt and half a year with Amazon Robotics AI in Berlin. My pursuit in building more capable robots has always been time consuming, but along the way I try to also spend energy on various STEM outreach initiatives, running world marathon majors, and adventuring around the globe.
